By Christopher Rice
Christopher Rice is the son of writer Anne Rice and poet Stan Rice. Yes, he comes from a literary family. Yes, he is a gay writer.
Even so, he is a fabulous writer that creates a world that even a heterosexual female (myself) can understand.
Adam Murphy, 26 year old journalist, has reached rock bottom as an alcoholic and drug addict. As he tries to get sober after the death of his alcoholic mother, he starts to find an underbelly of his party world–disappearance of his lover and the death of a Marine pilot. Twined with these happenings is pedophilia.
The writing, the story, the plot twists were terrific. I give this guy 5 stars. There wasn’t a moment that I wanted to put the book down.
