If Angels Burn

By Lynn Viehl
ISBN: 0-451-21477-3

Viehl is known for her sci-fi characters. This book is the start of a new paranormal romance line with characters that are vampire in nature. Their enemies (you must have a good protagonist) are a reclusive branch of the Catholic church.

It is obvious that Viehl knows her way around plotting and characterization. Compared to her sci-fi novels, this line is lighter probably because it is written in the romance genre. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the writing in this book. I would like to see heavier writing from her (combination of genres or fiction). But it is still a fun read.

So I give this one 4 stars. Yes, that means that I will probably read it a second or even a third time.
