This story is another Darkyn novel of two soon-to-be lovers Gabriel and Nicola. Gabriel is a member of the Darkyn (vampire). He has fallen into the hands of a fanatical order and thinks he will die walled up in an old chapel. Nicola, a theif, finds and rescues him.

The story is a paranormal romance so it has the restraints of that genre. Evenso, I really enjoyed reading this book. It remines me somewhat of Jayne Castle (JAK) paranormal romances.

I know that the suspense in this novel is about whether the two characters will get together and live happily ever after. For me, I would like more of my suspense connected to this fanatical order. In some ways I really like that type of suspense.

Still it was a decent read. I give this book 4 stars.
