The Gates of Sleep

By Mercedes Lackey
ISBN: 0-7564-0060-0

Marina Roeswood was cursed by her Aunt after her christening. Thankfully, her godmother was able to hold off the curse until she was eighteen years old and then the curse would rebound on its caster. But to make sure that Arachne, the aunt, did not find the baby, Marina was raised in a humble cottage.

This book is a more modern twist (industrial revolution) on Sleeping Beauty with Lackey’s style of wizards and magic.

The book was very entertaining. I give it 4 stars.
